Glebe Pond, Kingussie

COAT had been approached by the Kingussie community to help with upgrading the path around the community pond. The path had become overgrown and was difficult in places for pushcairs and wheel chairs.

The community wanted to make the ponds accessible to all. COAT developed a specification to make the path an ‘all abilities’ path. This involved widening 250m of path to 1500mm wide and laying an aggregate surfaced path, with some stone revetment along a short section of the North side.

This project was carried out by COAT Trainees in 2012 as path of the Path Skills Training Project.
