Ali Campbell and Naomi Mizon join the OATS team

We are delighted to announce that Ali Campbell and Naomi Mizon have joined OATS as Fairy Pools Facility Manager and Trust Administrator respectively.

Naomi, who will be based part-time in our new office in Bridge of Allan, has a key role in providing direct support to the Chief Executive and Chairman, leading on financial processes, administering external grant claims, assisting with Car Parking invoicing and permits, liaising with stakeholders, affiliates, donors, and public, and general office admin activity.

Naomi Mizon

Naomi, who started in her new role at the end of August, said: “With a background in admin, I have worked providing administrative support to a large firm of chartered accountants and a small local charity. I am returning to work after a career break focussing on my family. I am really looking forward to working with the small staff team at OATS and getting to know the amazing projects and work the charity is involved in.

“I was born in England but moved to Central Scotland when I was young and have lived in the area for most of my life. I enjoy being out in the countryside and love my drive to work along the side of the Ochil Hills. I dream of one day owning a small holding and rearing some sheep and pigs. However, I am making do with my backyard chickens for now!”

Ali, who has been in her new role for just a couple of weeks, will run the busy year-round Fairy Pools Car Park Facility at Glen Brittle on the Isle of Skye on a full-time basis.  She is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Facility including providing information to visitors, management of full-time and casual/seasonal staff, procuring and managing suppliers and services, statutory health, safety, and environmental requirements of the site, and liaison with stakeholders and the public.

Ali Campbell

Ali Campbell, a long-time resident of Skye, said:  “I was born and brought up in Dunvegan, in the North West of the Isle of Skye. I attended Portree High School and after a brief time away from the island to pursue further education, I returned to Skye where I now live with my family.

“I have worked for many years in the local community in people-centred roles within the NHS as well as in a number of local established companies. Most recently, I worked as an Early Years Practitioner in the Local Primary School, having completed a number of intensive courses in conjunction with The University of Edinburgh as part of my Continued Personal Development (CPD) whilst working in the post.

“I have a broad and varied experience through my adult working life in the roles I have held around the island and have gained a knowledge and understanding of the tourism industry and providing infrastructure as well as information. I spent all school holidays working in the thriving and ever-developing tourism and hospitality industry of the island which has given me a wealth of experience which will be invaluable in my role as Manager of the Fairy Pools Facility.”
