The Strathdon community identified the School path as one in the area that would greatly benefit from an upgrade including new sections to reduce the gradient.
The route runs from the settlements of Roughpark and Bellabeg passing the local primary school; improvements were completed to encourage greater use by the children and people from the local settlements whilst also encouraging visitors to stop in Strathdon.
On completing the project the total aggregate path length was 1.1km; a 300m section from the Bellabeg end can be used for all abilities use.
