To the north of the Trossachs the landscape begins to assume truly Highland grandeur. The lochs are bigger, the glens are deeper and the mountains are higher.
This moorland through route links Balquhidder to Ledcharrie in Glen Dochart via Kirkton Glen. The glen is on the line of an old right of way over the hills to Glen Dochart. A lovely remote walk with dramatic scenery on an old drover’s route. This is true Rob Roy country – the Braes of Balquhidder.
